Creating safe and healthy work environments through biological safety consulting and services.
Controlled environments - healthcare, research, life science and pharmaceuticals.
Simply cleaning surfaces of visible mould may not be a sustainable solution. Unusual events such as persistent/hidden leaks, flooding or major events occur, there is a risk that conditions are created where moisture, temperature and microbiological species present, can combine to establish mould colonies.
If these conditions continue, species can establish and flourish, that are harmful to most of the population, and severely so, for sensitized individuals.
Virtually all commercial and residential sites have some degree of mould, spores and fungi present from the outside air. This is normal, and for most individuals presents no issues. Accurate information on what is present, the conditions that exist and why they have occurred is critical to a real solution to these outbreaks. A calm, independent and fact-based approach to mould assessment is important.
A cost effective and scientifically valid set of air, surface samples are collected, and interpreted along with data collected for; solids moisture, humidity and temperature. We use accredited, independent laboratories for microbial analysis and supply you with a definitive and defensible written report. Our approach is science based with attention to value. The process is repeated post cleaning, to confirm the microbial issues have been remediated successfully.
Biosafety International will conduct decontamination works in cases where normal commercial remediators are not appropriate. Examples include medical research cool rooms, hospital or containment facilities,, technical use commercial sites.
Mould Testing and Assessments
Assessment of mould colonisation and establishment can be done effectively by following the international guidelines issued by the IICRC, termed S520-2015. Biosafety staff is accredited with this organisation, also adhered to other international guidelines and regulations.

Independent and Validated
Biosafety is not associated with a cleaning company, our work in this area is as an independent assessor, who will give you reliable and independent information on what issues a site has, and the types of remediation methods the IICRC would recommend.
